In 2018, Forsk released the first version of Naos, its platform for automating RAN planning and optimisation. Naos provides mobile operators with a framework for designing and developing their own automated RF planning and optimisation workflows. Typical use cases include business planning, process-oriented radio planning and optimisation, dedicated optimisation applications and more.
Today, Forsk announces the availability of Naos version 2.0, which includes a number of new features and enhancements that come from the experience gained during the first Naos deployments with mobile operators.
Naos is deployable as a Windows or a Web Service remotely controlled through COM or REST APIs, allowing automation with multiple programming languages such as Python, C# and C++.
Naos supports 5G NR, LTE and multi-technology HetNets. It is fully compatible with Atoll and uses the same field-proven calculation algorithms.
Naos is currently being used by several wireless operators in North America and the Asia-Pacific as part of their automation journey.
